Faculty of Engineering (ENG) at the Chiang Mai University creates and shares interdisciplinary knowledge about complex engineering systems through initiatives in education, research, and industry partnerships. Faculty of Engineering broadens engineering practice to include the context of each challenge as well as the consequences of technological advancement.
Faculty of Engineering has a dual mission: to define and evolve engineering systems as a new field of study and to transform engineering education and practice.
Faculty of Engineering establishes and intellectual home for key programs and centers, engages faculty across departments and disciplines, and fosters discourse about engineering innovation.

Chiang Mai University (CMU) (Thai: มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่) is a public research university in northern Thailand founded in 1964 with a strong emphasis on engineering, scientific, and agriculture. Its instructional mission includes undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education offered through resident instruction. Its main campus lies between Chiang Mai downtown and Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Province.
The university is the first institute of higher education in Northern Thailand, and the first provincial university in Thailand. CMU recently set up the Technology Development Center for Industry (TDCI) to provide a one-stop interface with industry. It is also chairing the Chiang Mai Creative City Development Committee.
